SUPPORT FOR LOCAL BUSINESSES AFFECTED BY KAIKOURA EARTHQUAKES
Stressed and displaced Wellington businesses to access free advice
Wellington, New Zealand: Transformed Teams is partnering with Wellington Regional Economic Development Agency (WREDA) to offer free support to businesses displaced by the 14 November earthquakes.
“Working apart from each other can be a real challenge at the best of times but people usually choose their work from home arrangement. In these unavoidable circumstances, team communication and performance issues can cause additional stress,” said Nina Sochon, CEO and Distributed Teams Expert.
David Jones, WREDA General Manager for Business Growth and Innovation, says the workshop will provide useful targeted information for managers of displaced businesses.
“We’re conscious of the value of specialist advice to help Wellington businesses succeed while managing distributed teams for the first time, or on a larger scale than before. Our aim is to support business managers and team leaders in gaining the tools and confidence to not only manage the challenges, but make the most of the unique opportunities distributed teams can provide,” said David.
Managers with a displaced or distributed team could be concerned about a drop in performance, morale issues, disconnection and isolation, frustration and bad habits developing.
Nina Sochon will be delivering a workshop for business owners and managers on 13 December from 8:30-10:00am at Bizdojo, 115 Tory Street, Te Aro, Wellington.
Business owners will learn three easily implemented and trusted approaches to keep their team performance, culture and communication strong during this crisis.
About Transformed Teams: We create high-performing distributed teams. CEO Nina Sochon is a Distributed Teams Expert whose flexible work framework is endorsed by the Australian Government and leading businesses.
