Healthcare Partners’ Partial Offer for Abano Not Successful
Healthcare Partners’ Partial Offer for Abano Not
Successful; Seeks Due Diligence
6 March 2017: Peter Hutson from Healthcare Partners confirmed today that its partial offer for 50.01% of Abano has not succeeded.
“Our discussions with shareholders told us that the partial nature of the offer, not the price, was the reason for lack of support of our Offer.”
“We will now consider our options. As previously advised to shareholders, we have requested Abano grant us due diligence in order to undertake a full takeover offer. We see the Board’s refusal to grant us due diligence as not being in the best interest of shareholders or the company.”
Healthcare Partners remains Abano’s largest investor.
