Amalgamated Hardware Merchants Ltd and Mitre 10 (New Zealand) Ltd has voluntarily recalled a 4 Burner Hooded Black BBQ due to concerns it could be a fire risk if not assembled correctly.
The un-branded 4 Burner Hooded Black BBQ, sku 295689 and model number: G11400 was sold by Mitre 10 MEGA stores and selected Mitre 10 and Hammer Hardware stores between October 2016 and April 2017.
“We have identified that if the regulator hose that connects the BBQ to the gas bottle is not correctly tightened, gas may leak out which could cause a fire. Customer safety is paramount to us and we are recalling all of these BBQs as a safety measure,” the company said.
Customers should cease using the BBQ immediately and return the product to their nearest Mitre 10 or Mitre 10 MEGA store. A full refund will be given.
