Pathway Social Enterprise Hub Welcomes First Social Entrepreneurs

Pathway Charitable Group is pleased to announce Translucent by Te Ora Hou, Woodland Escape, Momo dumplings and 27 Seconds as the first social enterprises to move into the Pathway Social Enterprise Hub launching Thursday, September 28th 2017.


Media are invited to join Her Worship Mayor Lianne Dalziel, Peter Townsend CEO of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce and delegates from the Social Enterprise World Forum at the Pathway Social Enterprise Hub Launch held at 5:15pm Thursday September 28th, 44 Mandeville Street, Riccarton, Christchurch.


Media representatives will have the opportunity to interview participating social enterprises, along with Pathway Charitable Group Social Entrepreneurs and VIP guests such as Mayor Lianne Dalziel.


"Moving into the Pathway Social Enterprise Hub is an exciting step for us as we look to grow our business. It's a great opportunity to access support and expertise from people who have gone before us in the social enterprise space,” Kate Mang, General Manager, Momo Said.

The Social Enterprise Hub will offer support to emerging Christchurch social enterprises as they seek to scale up and increase their social impact. Alongside office space, Pathway will provide mentoring support to assist the businesses build key capabilities such as accounting, marketing, human resourcing and business planning.


Pathway Charitable Group’s 19 year track record in social enterprise ideally positions to offer these services from its base in Riccarton. It already operates five such enterprises with the largest, commercial furniture provider Alloyfold, having extended its operations across Australia and the USA.


The launch of the Social Enterprise Hub comes as part of the festivities included in the Social Enterprise World Forum running in Christchurch this week.
