'Contribute' helps with fundraising projects!
'Contribute' helps New Zealand groups and
individuals with their fundraising projects!
It
can also help your organisation, or people you know, reach
their fundraising goals.
The idea all started when a group of Rotorua youth wanted to record a demo track, but had to raise a small amount of money to make their project happen…
And so a new crowdfunding platform was launched to help New Zealand groups and individuals raise funds for worthwhile causes.
Contribute was set up to provide a flexible, versatile crowdfunding platform to help creative groups, school groups, sporting groups, cultural groups and more to reach their fundraising goals with the help of generous friends and family and other contributors.
Crowdfunding is not a new concept in New Zealand, and pages like Give-A-Little have been serving a wonderful purpose for years. However, where other platforms may have a narrow focus (either good causes, or the arts etc), Contribute accepted the challenge of becoming all things to all people. In addition to good causes, it provides a fundraising space for everything from films and music to art, design, conservation projects, concept development, cultural and sports team trips, school projects and more. Unlike Give-A-Little, it even includes a built in 'rewards' system where fundraisers can offer a special ‘thank you’ to people who donate, such as product or event entry.
Fundraising used to mean early Saturday mornings setting up sausage sizzles and car-washes in order to raise a few hundred dollars; now people can contribute to your worthy cause at the click of a button. Contribute works just like Give-A-Little, and just like Give-A-Little there are administration fees involved, but Contribute supports a much wider scope of projects and causes, and is locally operated!
So if you, or someone you know is fundraising this summer, check out www.contribute.co.nz. It would be appreciated if you would forward this to anyone you think may benefit.
