Xero Learn allows users to:

• set up dummy Xero businesses loaded with data to be used in their lessons

• add an in-app overlay within Xero to guide students through the course content

• manage and monitor student access to ensure guided learning throughout the course material

Since launching an early access programme in 2017, Xero has worked with more than 30 educational institutions to fine-tune the design of Xero Learn. Xero’s dialogue with its educational partners will continue to ensure Xero Learn provides the best, most relevant tools for teachers.

Xero Learn underscores the close relationships that Xero continues to forge with a range of partners. For the first time ever, educators have been invited to attend Xerocon Brisbane 2018,where they’ll take part in sessions designed to provide them with an in-depth understanding of how to use Xero Learn and Xero to deliver optimal lessons for their students.

“Xero Learn will revolutionise and future-proof the way educators teach their financial lessons,” said Anna Curzon, Chief Partner Officer at Xero. “By partnering with educators such as the Auckland University of Technology, University of Southern Queensland and Macquarie University, we’re delivering on a joint mission to empower the next generation of accountants, bookkeepers and business owners with in-demand skills, knowledge and job opportunities. Xero is committed to investing in creating opportunities for ongoing training and professional development, leading to stronger and more assured small business growth.”

Dr Paul Wells, Senior Lecturer at Auckland University of Technology (AUT), said, “By using Xero Learn, our goal is to help our students be as prepared as possible to enter the workforce upon graduation. Learning from textbooks and on outdated desktop tools has made it very difficult to equip them with the accounting software skills they need to work in a modern day practice. Now thanks to Xero Learn, our students can gain the skills they need to walk into an accounting role straight after graduation, add value and be successful.”

*Xero Learn was the winner of the AFR Best Services Innovation at the Australian Financial Review Innovation Awards 2018.
