PKF and Robertson join to create larger mid-market firm
Waikato chartered accounting and business advisory firms PKF Hamilton and Robertson Fulton have merged, creating a larger mid-market presence in the region offering full accounting, audit, tax and advisory services.
The merger was effective from January 1 with all staff now operating out of PKF’s Waikato central offices in Victoria Street, Hamilton.
With five partners and 46 staff, the new PKF Hamilton now delivers an expanded service offering, including audit, transaction advisory, management consulting along with enhancing the already strong capabilities both firms have in rural and not-for-profit sectors.
PKF Hamilton managing partner Bernard Lamusse said that in a growing and globalised economy, joining forces to build breadth and depth of expertise and resources is empowering and enabling for the business and their clients alike.
“The merger has brought together two locally owned and operated firms which enjoy cultural and client service synergies,” said Mr Lamusse.
“Our clients will enjoy the same service with access to greater depth of expertise and with no impact on fees.”
Robertson Fulton partner Matthew Fulton said there was a significant benefit in joining PKF Hamilton.
“I know that the increase in capacity and deeper level of expertise will add value to our clients’ businesses.
“This collaboration will deliver a broader service offering to our clients, underpinned by the strong national and international network that PKF has and provide opportunities for our staff to continue to grow with us – all while remaining a locally owned accountancy firm that will continue to deliver the highest levels of client service.”
The three other partners alongside Bernard Lamusse and Matthew Fulton are Alison Nation, Steven Stark and Glen Martyn.
