Bell Gully advises GWA Group on its successful takeover
Bell Gully advised ASX-listed GWA Group Limited on its successful NZ$118 million acquisition of NZX- listed Methven by way of scheme of arrangement.
The transaction was led by Bell Gully partner James Cooney, and the Bell Gully team who worked on the transaction included partner Amon Nunns and solicitors Ruairí O’Donovan and Louisa Craig.
Bell Gully has now advised on three of the four takeovers for NZX Main Board target companies which have been completed using a scheme of arrangement since the schemes law was changed in 2014.

Macquarie was financial
adviser to GWA on the transaction and Clayton Utz advised
GWA on the Australian law aspects of the
transaction.
