The NZ Marine Transport Association is proud to launch the New Zealand Seafarer of the Year Award, recognising outstanding individuals in our maritime industry.
We are seeking nominations for skippers, engineers, deckhands, or any seafarers who truly stand out—whether through their dedication, exceptional seamanship, customer service, mentoring of others, or commitment to excellence.
To nominate someone, please provide their name, employer details, and a brief explanation of why they deserve this recognition. Let’s celebrate those who go above and beyond on the water!
This year’s winner will be announced on 11 June 2025 at the NZ Marine Transport Association conference dinner.
