NZ Brazil Business Chamber Partners With Leading Brazilian Law Firm To Drive Kiwi Business Growth In Latin America

The New Zealand Brazil Business Chamber (NZBBC) today announced a strategic advisory partnership with Cescon Barrieu to accelerate New Zealand business expansion into Brazil. This partnership provides Kiwi companies with sophisticated legal and market entry support for Brazil's $2.1 trillion economy.

The partnership establishes Cescon Barrieu as the primary legal advisor for New Zealand companies seeking Brazilian market access. The firm will support NZBBC operations through its São Paulo headquarters while providing Kiwi businesses with confidence to enter South America's largest market.

Brazil represents exceptional opportunities for New Zealand companies across technology, agribusiness, healthcare, and renewable energy sectors. The country houses over 214 million consumers and ranks as the world's ninth-largest economy.

"This partnership creates transformational opportunities for New Zealand businesses," said Marcelo Menoita, CEO of the New Zealand Brazil Business Chamber. "Kiwi companies now have trusted pathways into Brazil's massive economy. We're building bridges that will generate significant export revenue and job creation for New Zealand."

Recent success stories demonstrate the potential. Kiwi technology companies have secured major Brazilian contracts worth over $100 million. Mindhive Global partnered with JBS, the world's largest leather processor. Gallagher Animal Management established operations in Brazil's agricultural heartland.

Brazil's technology ecosystem spans fintech, healthtech, agritech, and edtech sectors. Over 1,400 fintech startups serve 80 million users. The country leads agricultural digitalization globally, ranking second only to the United States. This creates compelling opportunities for New Zealand's technology solutions.

"New Zealand businesses have tremendous opportunities in Brazil," said Carrick Graham, Chair of the New Zealand Brazil Business Chamber. "Our partnership with Cescon Barrieu provides sophisticated legal frameworks that give Kiwi companies confidence to expand. The synergy between our innovation excellence and Brazil's market scale creates compelling export opportunities."

For New Zealand exporters, São Paulo represents a strategic gateway to Latin America. Recent government trade missions generated 13 partnerships worth $100 million over three years.

Cescon Barrieu brings over 70 partners and extensive experience in cross-border transactions. The firm's expertise spans infrastructure, energy, and technology sectors that align with New Zealand's export strengths.

The partnership supports the Government's trade diversification objectives and strengthens New Zealand's economic ties with Latin America. Brazil represents New Zealand's largest trading partner in South America, with bilateral trade exceeding NZD 800 million annually.

New Zealand companies exploring Brazilian opportunities can access support through New Zealand Trade and Enterprise at +64 4 816 8100 or through NZBBC's São Paulo operations.
