The Biggest Home And Renovation Showcase In Australasia Returns
The Auckland Home Show opens this Thursday 11 September at Auckland Showgrounds, delivering the largest range of building, renovation, design, and outdoor living inspiration in Australasia. Running until Sunday 14 September, the show spans eight halls and outdoor zones, with more than 450 exhibitors and an extensive programme of free seminars, workshops, and live features.
“The Auckland Home Show is where ideas become plans and plans become projects,” says Amanda Magnus, General Manager of Exhibitions & Events NZ. “Whether you’re refreshing a room, landscaping the garden, or planning a major renovation, the show brings everything together under one roof so visitors can compare, ask questions, and make confident choices.”
Show highlights for 2025
Along with an extensive range of 450 plus exhibitors, the Auckland Home Show has an extensive range of entertainments, workshops and hands-on learning opportunities for the visitors — including:
- Free Daily Seminars
The Design Renovate Decorate seminars, proudly sponsored by Resene, cover everything from bathroom and kitchen renovations to outdoor living, colour trends, AI smart-home technology, budgeting, and sustainable building. With 14 sessions a day, expert speakers provide the right advice and inspiration to help visitors plan projects with confidence. - Ryobi Make+Take Workshops
Step into the Ryobi zone and get hands-on with power tools while creating a planter box, birdhouse, or shelf to take home. Fast-paced, practical sessions give visitors a chance to test-drive the latest Ryobi tools under expert guidance. - Free How-To Workshops
DIY is a Kiwi tradition, and these 20-minute demonstrations offer a practical start. Learn skills such as wallpapering, styling interiors, brewing beer, pizza mastery, and choosing plants and planters. - Home Marketplace
A curated zone in Hall 8 showcasing local artisans and small businesses — from handcrafted candles and botanical art to eco-furniture, lighting, and home décor. - Outdoor Ideas
Hall 8 also hosts the Outdoor Ideas Zone, bringing together landscaping, turf, paving, decking, louvres, textiles, lighting, and ceramic pottery for complete outdoor inspiration. - Family Fun Day (Sunday)
Extra entertainment for families, including kids’ craft activities at the Bug & Bloom Station, take-home projects, face painting, Mitre 10 Kids’ Workshops, and the Puppy Cuddle Zone with Saving Hope Foundation. - All-New Outdoor Furniture Feature
Gaby Muir, Home Stylist from Finer Home Staging, showcases the latest Design Concepts furniture in Hall 8. From laid-back lounging to outdoor dining, the feature blends comfort, style, and durability. - Tiny Living Lane & Garden Feature
A must-see attraction showcasing fully furnished tiny homes and compact living ideas. At its centre, the Garden Feature (designed with Parrot Landscaping) combines tropical greenery, sustainable native planting, paving, lighting, and outdoor entertainer spaces.
