Southland Engineer & Wise Response Chair Calls On Local Councils To Plan For Fuel Disruption As Islamabad Talks Collapse
The failure of Islamabad negotiations has removed the last diplomatic buffer from New Zealand's fuel supply chain. Nathan Surendran, Chair of the Wise Response Society, has today written formally to Invercargill City Council and Southland District Council calling for immediate contingency planning - and released a new white paper, No Fuel, Still Fed, detailing what food system resilience looks like without diesel.
