Spark Announced As Major Sponsor For Retail NZ Awards
Retail NZ is proud to announce Spark as the major sponsor of the 2026 Retail NZ Awards.
“We’re thrilled Spark has joined as our headline partner for this year's awards, which promise to be even bigger and better than before,” Retail NZ Chief Executive, Carolyn Young, says.
“As one of the country’s largest and most dedicated retailers, Spark is a natural fit for us to partner with to deliver this year’s awards. Spark has a commitment to supporting Kiwi businesses of all sizes, and we’re delighted that they’ve come on board to help us celebrate excellence in retail.”
Mandy Tomlinson, Spark’s Channel Lead – Consumer Sales and Call Centre, says they’re excited to be involved.
“Retailers work incredibly hard for their customers and communities, and we are really passionate about wanting to see them do well,” Ms Tomlinson says. “Spark is proud to be the headline partner of the Retail NZ Awards, and also to sponsor the People’s Choice Award – a category in which the customers can recognise the retailers who have gone above and beyond for them.”
Carolyn Young says the addition of the Spark People’s Choice Award means there truly is the opportunity for everyone to get involved.
“We encourage everyone to nominate their favourite store, whether it be a physical shop where you can’t beat their customer service, or that online outlet that's product range is unmatched, for the chance to be crowned Retail NZ's first People’s Choice champion,” Ms Young says.
Nominations are open and free to enter across all 10 categories, with the opportunity there for retailers of all shapes and sizes to be recognised.
“With retailers facing several challenges in the current economic environment, we’re excited to provide the sector the opportunity to celebrate retail at its finest, and shine a positive light on the crucial work you do for communities right across Aotearoa.” Ms Young says.
All finalists and winners of the Spark Retail NZ Awards will be honoured at a glittering night of excellence on Thursday 3 September at the Hilton Hotel on Auckland’s Princes Wharf.
