Governor-General to visit Cook Islands to mark anniversary
The Governor-General Dame Silvia Cartwright will this week travel to the Cook Islands to take part in celebrations to mark the 40th Constitution Day.
Constitution Day, on 4 August, celebrates the day in 1965 when the Cook Islands, following an act of self-determination under United Nations auspices, became a self-governing state in 'free association' with New Zealand
