Focus on Trade and Education as Governor-General visits Korea
The Governor-General Dame Silvia Cartwright will this month travel to Korea on an official state visit.
Dame Silvia's programme will include a State welcome, an official audience with President Roh and a State dinner.
Dame Silvia will lay a wreath at the National Cemetery in Seoul and attend a commemorative service at the Commonwealth Memorial at Kapyong. She will attend a number of top-level meetings and address the Korea/New Zealand Business Council, a New Zealand Film Seminar and a New Zealand University Open Day. She will also receive an honorary doctorate at Ewha University.
During the absence of the Governor-General from 19-22 April 2006, the Chief Justice Dame Sian Elias will act as Administrator of Government.
