National Is Making The Cost Of Living Worse
Christopher Luxon claiming everything is getting better while New Zealanders face higher living costs, shows just how out of touch he is.
“Dismissing the struggle of everyday New Zealanders while claiming that some fictional boat will go faster and fix the cost-of-living is tone deaf,” Labour Leader Chris Hipkins said.
“It follows Nicola Willis saying people who have lost their jobs ‘shouldn’t take it personally’ last week.
“Christopher Luxon promised to make the cost of living better, but he’s making it worse. Food, electricity, and housing costs are all going up under National.
“People are getting sick of the excuses and being told to feel better about the cost of living when basics like groceries and power are more expensive. Rates and insurance are also up.
“New Zealand can’t afford another three years of National. People are struggling and despite all of his promises, Christopher Luxon is doing nothing about it.
“National has found the cash for board directors, property speculators and tobacco companies but is failing to bring down costs for everyday New Zealanders,” Chris Hipkins said.
