TVNZ Directors Confirm Board Consistency

STATEMENT ISSUED ON BEHALF OF MR WHAI DEWES AND MR WAYNE BROWN, DIRECTORS TVNZ BOARD
Mr Dewes and Mr Brown confirmed today to Mrs Rosanne Meo that they had not intended to imply any inconsistencies in Mrs Meo's statements, now or at any stage.
They also confirmed that they had attended the meeting that unanimously confirmed the Board's statement last week.
Both Mr Dewes and Mr Brown have advised the former Chairman that the purpose of their communications to the Government were to correct apparent misunderstandings by the Ministers as reported in the media, and not to suggest any inconsistencies in either Mrs Meo's or the Board's statements.
