TVNZ Board Confirms Commitment To Editorial Independence
The Board of Directors of Television New Zealand today confirmed their absolute commitment to the continuing editorial independence and integrity of TVNZ's news and current affairs.
The Board has always taken, and continues to hold, the view that editorial matters are the domain of news and current affairs.
The Board also reaffirmed that the appointment of a new Managing Editor to replace the highly respected Paul Cutler will be a management led process with the ultimate decision resting with TVNZ's Chief Executive, Rick Ellis.
