I am incensed that the cannabis health law&order debate which dominated the 1999 election remains unresolved.

Criminalisation is sick and unprincipled policy.

While politicians pander to the hypocritical view that certain plants are immoral, New Zealand is without leadership.

Education, Health, Youth, Maori, Police and Justice are ill-served by the illogical duress of criminalising half a million kiwis.

Prohibitionist policies support failure and injustices despite exonerative evidence. Prohibition is drug promotion. Doing nothing tolerates the cost while manifesting harms.

I stand on evidence, analytic standards and principle. Doing nothing just wont do.
