Peter Has Dunne With Family Values

Peter Has Dunne With Family Values
United Future leader Peter Dunne claims to be pro family. Yet his voting record says otherwise:
1. Dunne abstained on the Prostitution Reform Bill, which will seek to remove restrictions on prostitution. A pro family values politician would have made it a priority to vote against this bill.
2. Dunne voted in favour of paid parental leave. Paid parental leave is about female participation in the labour force, not our families or our children's future. Paid parental leave discriminates against parents who are not in the paid labour force because they are full time caregivers.
3. Dunne voted against a moratorium on new casinos. Casinos have only debased family life in New Zealand and led to more poverty amongst those who can least afford it.
4. Dunne voted in favour of legislation which degraded the status of marriage and legally recognised same sex relationships. Heterosexual marriage is the cornerstone of our society.
Mr Dunne is unable to point to any pro life voting credentials. In all his time in parliament he has done nothing to advance the rights of the unborn child. Dunne says he supports the status quo with respect to the abortion law. Under this law approximately 16,000 unborn children were killed last year alone.
Mr Dunne's claims to be pro family defy logic.
