Pro-Suicide Lobby Invites Dr Death To Nz

Dr Nitschke, a self confessed killer, will tour NZ in April at the invitation of Auckland Voluntary Euthanasia Society.

Nitschke is the Australian version of Dr Jack Kevorkian who allegedly became involved in killing over a hundred patients in the USA before being convicted on homicide charges. Kevorkian failed in his appeal to have his conviction overturned and he now languishes in prison.

When Nitschke visited the US last year to demonstrate his killing machine he found that Australian Customs authorities did not like the intent of the machine and refused permission to "export" it. Nitschke has a dubious history with his visits to NZ, he has introduced the exit bag, he had planned to bring a ship of death within our economic zone to offer to kill New Zealanders; not sure what he planned to do with the bodies.

Family Life International advises that under NZ law, homicide, suicide and assisted suicide are crimes and are punishable as such. Nitschke has been involved in several suicide pacts in Australia where euthanasia is also illegal. It seems that Nitschke is not content to flout Australian law but aims to come to NZ to teach others how to do like wise.

Nitschke is currently under investigation by the police in Australia and his luggage was subjected to extra scrutiny on arrival in New Zealand. Family Life International is exploring avenues to ensure that Dr Nitschke does not have the opportunity to teach his law breaking ways in our country.
