Destiny NZ Not Contesting Te Tai Hauauru

"Destiny NZ Not Contesting Te Tai Hauauru By-Election"
Destiny NZ will not be contesting the pending by-election in the Te Tai Hauauru Maori electorate.
"Instead of rushing in and putting a candidate forward for the sake of a formal exercise, our aim is to contest all seven Maori seats with first-class candidates at the next general election and we remain focused on that objective," says Destiny NZ leader Richard Lewis. "We respect Tariana's decision to resign, given the fallible nature of Labour's foreshore and seabed policy, which is yet another example of unprincipled reactionary leadership."
Launched in July last year, Destiny NZ has been conducting a national tour titled "Your Power is in the Home" and will contest many of the 69 electorates at the next general election. The central theme of all Destiny NZ policies from economics to education is to uphold and empower New Zealand families.
Destiny NZ
will be presenting an overview of their policies in Nelson
this Saturday 8th May and in Wellington the following week,
Saturday 15th May. Visit the Destiny NZ website for
