New Waitangi Tribunal Director Appointed

The Secretary for Justice, Belinda Clark, today announced the appointment of Darrin Sykes as the new Director of the Waitangi Tribunal.

Darrin Sykes is currently Chief Executive of the Anamata Charitable Trust and has worked in the public sector in social services delivery, policy development, corporate and information technology support roles. He takes up his new role on 2 August 2004.

Darrin Sykes’ iwi affiliations are Ngati Rangitihi -Te Arawa.
