Progressive selects Fale Leleisiuao to campaign in Mana
The Progressive Party has selected Fale Leleisiuao to campaign for party votes in Mana in this year's election.
"Progressive candidates are campaigning for peoples' party vote this year as your pro-economic development and anti-drugs insurance policy," deputy leader Matt Robson said today.
"If you support increased investment in higher education, favour the economic development of our regions and want politicians to take the tough decisions on youth binge drinking and other youth drug problems, then our candidates' message is: Party Vote Progressive".
Fale lives in Porirua where she is a caregiver with CYFS and is currently involved in work to establish a residential respite centre for youth at risk. An active member of the Porirua Youth Workers' Network, Fale is also a Youth Leader within her local Church community and active in sport, including volleyball and Samoan cricket.
The Progressive Party is the junior partner in the coalition government first elected in 1999. Its leader, Jim Anderton, is the third ranked Cabinet Minister with responsibility for Economic, Industry and Regional Development and the government's campaign to reduce the harm caused by drugs.
