Pedestrian access to Alfred Street email campaign

Pedestrian access to Alfred Street - email campaign to Auckland City Councillors

Evening everybody,

Greens on Campus invites you to get behind our email campaign calling on Auckland City Councillors to address the situation that currently exists on Alfred Street (which runs between the Quad and the General Library). Both pedestrians and public transport users are severly disadvantaged by the congestion that arises from private vehicle access to this extremely restricted transport corridor.

Therefore, we propose that Alfred Street be closed to private vehicles between the hours of 7am - 7pm, Monday to Sunday, and that bus, cycle and pedestrian priority measures be investigated and implemented where appropriate.

If you support this proposal, please email the councillors listed below by simply copying and pasting the addresses into your email recipients list. Feel free to put your own spin on both the situation and its possible solutions!

Thanks for your time :)
