Destiny NZ Takes Campaign Message to Tokoroa
Destiny New Zealand leader Richard Lewis made a surprise visit to his hometown of Tokoroa today.
Together with the party's Taupo candidate, Charles TeKowhai, Mr Lewis spent some time downtown talking with locals and giving out information about the party. He also took the opportunity to speak on local Maori radio.
"Having been raised in Tokoroa and going to the local schools, it is great coming back in a political capacity," he said.
Earlier in the day Mr Lewis was at City Focus, downtown Rotorua with local candidates Elaine Herbert (Rotorua) and Hawea Vercoe (Waiariki).
On Saturday from 9.30am Mr Lewis will be main stage at the Otara Markets with pop-group Cydel & Groovehouse. Mr Lewis and a number of Destiny New Zealand candidates will be present.
