Statement on Behalf of Harmeet Sooden's Family
STATEMENT ISSUED ON BEHALF OF HARMEET SOODEN'S FAMILY
The Brewer and Sooden families have been swamped with media inquiries over the past 12 hours since the release of Harmeet from captivity. As a result, it has made contact with Harmeet and his guardians in Iraq very difficult as we try to arrange travel to the Middle East.
We appreciate all the support we have received over the past 100 days, but our main concern right now is Harmeet.
Therefore we have decided that we will deal with just one media outlet and that is TVNZ.
Our decision is based on the support we have received from TVNZ since December.
We trust the media will respect our wishes and privacy.
