Tumeke.Blogspot.Com Puts Iti Flag On Own Auction

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Saturday 1 July 2006

Tumeke.blogspot.com puts Iti flag on own auction - TUMEKE! - Check the current bid

"Seeing as Trade Me has shut the auction down, we will do one on his behalf and present him with the highest bidder's contact details" - Mr Bradbury & Mr Selwyn.

Bomber Bradbury - NZ Listener's "most opinionated man in New Zealand" and host of TV3's award-nominated current affairs show Stake-out, has entered the blogosphere with Tim Selwyn - the country's only convicted seditious writer.

Resident guest blogger, Bomber Bradbury, says TUMEKE! is daily news and information source that is replacing other forms of media as a more open format for discussing issues free of corporate control:

"It is important that the voice of the opposing view is not lost for politically motivated reasons," says Mr Bradbury.

Creator and editor, Tim Selwyn, says:

"It's just another failure to communicate and reactionary nonsense. Pakeha have failed to see the event through Maori eyes it seems from the official response. A right-wing conservative politician laid the complaint after baiting the dopey Police Minister in Parliament - who said not only should he lay a complaint - but that he was sure there would be a conviction! The whole thing is outrageous.

I support any effort to appeal this verdict."

Mr Selwyn doubled the original bid of $100 from the site hosting the auction and says he will refer the highest bidder on TUMEKE! to that site.: "I hope it makes it to the Supreme Court - if that's what it takes. If the auction helps with the costs then great."

The blog's brother site www.tumeke.org offers complimentary in-depth and magazine-style content including a background on the Iti trial.

Join the argument.
