Public Meeting to Kill 'Sack at Will' Bill
Workers Charter presents
Public Meeting to Kill 'Sack at Will' Bill
4pm this Saturday, 29th July
Auckland
Trades Hall
147 Great North Road, Grey Lynn
National MP Wayne Mapp's bill to strip workers of all rights for the first 90 days on the job is causing outrage up and down the country. But politicians are still dithering on whether to let it through.
Only mass pressure from workers and communities can make sure they don't let this slave labour bill get through. It's time we got organised.
The Engineering, Printing & Manufacturing Union (EPMU) has been up the front of organising resistance to the Mapp law. Hear speakers from the EPMU, along with Green MP Sue Bradford and speakers from the Workers Charter and Radical Youth networks.
Then join in the discussion about practical collective actions to kill the bill.
