Bill Rancic Book Raises Thousands for Charity

A BOOK signed by the first ever winner of Donald Trump’s ‘The Apprentice’ television programme has raised thousands of dollars at a charity auction in New Zealand.

Bill Rancic’s book ‘You’re Hired’ went for $2,000 at the auction which took place at the Richmastery Property Academy last weekend (Saturday, October 28 – Monday, October 30, 2006).

All the money raised will now go to support the work of the Mental Health Foundation, a charity personally supported by Richmastery Ltd CEO Corinna Jones.

A further collection at the academy raised another $3,000 for the charity bringing the grand total to $5,000.

Corinna said: “I was astounded by the level of support and generosity of the attendees at the Richmastery Property Academy.

‘There is a real stigma attached to illnesses such as depression which unfortunately often makes it difficult for the Mental Health Foundation to raise the funds it needs.

“The fact is the charity does an incredible amount of vital work and can really help turn people’s lives around.”

Bill generously signed his book for Corinna to auction when he flew to New Zealand at the beginning of October for dinner with the Presidential Inner Circle (PIC).

The PIC, which Corinna co-founded with her husband Phil earlier this year, is an exclusive club with only 50 members worldwide.

The club encourages like-minded businessmen and women to meet on a regular basis to share ideas and network.

High-profiled entrepreneurs such as Bill are often invited to add another valuable dimension to events.

On this occasion Bill joined the PIC members for an intimate dinner at Stonyridge Vineyard in Waiheke and openly shared his story.

Corinna said: ‘Bill was hugely generous in spending time with us and the whole evening was just a really special time for everyone.

“Bill’s passion and flair for business really came through – I know our members were hugely inspired by him and took away some real insights into key business practices.

“I am hugely grateful to him for spending this time with the PIC and also for signing a copy of his book for us to auction in aid of the Mental Health Foundation.”
