experience in managing staff in a multi-site environment as
the College has six campuses. Dr Stoop was also responsible
for all academic processes relating to the merger of the
College’s teacher education programmes with the University
of Canterbury.
Dr Stoop was previously Principal at Burnside High School and earlier in his career had taught at Wellington East Girls’ College, Wellington College and Hillmorton High.
Mark Prebble says that Graham Stoop has the experience and skills required for this position.
“He understands the issues facing the Chief Review Officer and the Education Review Office and is very keen to tackle the challenges they present. Graham is passionate about education and its role in society.”
The Education Review Office is a strongly performing organisation that has built and maintained relationships within the education sector and contributed to improving its performance under the previous chief executive, Karen Sewell. Dr Stoop will build on the achievements of the last five years.
