Earthquake in Solomons
A 7.6 magnitude earthquake has struck the Solomon Islands.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre has placed New Zealand in a state of "watch".
There have been no reports of a tsunami. However if a tsunami was generated, it would have a travel time of 6 hours to New Zealand.
The Ministry of Civil Defence & Emergency Management is watching and checking the situation with experts.
