Response to John Key's stance on Sue Bradford's Bill
Preventing Violence in the Home (NZ’s largest family violence prevention service) strongly disagrees with any proposed watering down of Sue Bradford’s Bill, currently proposed by John Key and The National Party.
Holly Carrington, Services Manger for Preventing Violence in the Home, says:
“Preventing Violence in the Home feels that the real issue is getting lost in the point scoring between the two parties. The National Party is perpetuating the whole watering down of Sue Bradford's bill by keeping the discussion focus on smacking rather than the bills real intention on reducing legalised child abuse.”
