Youth justice statistics report released

The Ministry of Justice today released the first annual report of youth justice statistics: Youth Justice Statistics in New Zealand 1992-2006.

The report provides a statistical overview of trends in apprehensions, prosecutions, convictions, and sentencing of young people (14 to 16 year olds).

The report is available on the Ministry of Justice website: www.justice.govt.nz
