NCWNZ Congratulates Ministers
The National Council of Women of New Zealand (NCWNZ) is looking forward to working with Steve Chadwick, the newly appointed Minister of Women’s Affairs.
“Steve Chadwick’s long history of involvement with various women’s issues demonstrates her commitment to the advancement of women. We look forward to her perspective and ideas with this portfolio,” said NCWNZ National President Christine Low.
NCWNZ would also at this time, like to congratulate Lianne Dalziel, the now former Minister of Women’s Affairs, on her promotion within the cabinet and her commitment to the Women’s Affairs portfolio.
“Lianne Dalziel guided New Zealand through its recent report to CEDAW and, with the lifting of New Zealand’s final reservation to this important human rights instrument, has ensured that New Zealand women are still leaders on the global stage,” concluded Christine Low
