New Documentary DVD on NZ Homelessness
A new documentary exploring the issue of homelessness in New Zealand has just been released.
‘Putting Homelessness into Focus’ had its first public screening last night in Tauranga and further presentations are planned for other centres around the country.
It utilises interviews and stories from people with personal experience of homelessness and those who provide support and seek to address this critical issue.
Putting Homelessness into Focus gives essential insights into understanding the realities of New Zealand homelessness.
Downtown Community Ministry Director Stephanie McIntyre features on the film, she says, “The film is a great resource for people wishing to know more about homelessness, the people affected by it and what is being done.”
See below to view a short clip from the film’s opening sequence:
Copies of the DVD can be bought ordering it through Kate Amore at itsamore@hotmail.com.
DCM will announce Wellington public screenings once organized.
