In Defence of Food

In Defence of Food

Best selling author Michael Pollan will join Green MP Sue Kedgley and chef Annabel Langbein for a conversation on food on Auckland’s North Shore tomorrow night.

Michael Pollans bestseller The Omnivores Dilemma traced a direct line between the industrialization of food and degradation of the environment. He will discuss his most recent book In Defence of Food: An Eaters Manifesto.

Annabel Langbein combines being a cook with helping people make the right food choices environmentally, nutritionally and economically and Sue Kedgley is an outspoken advocate for healthy food.

The event is organised by the North Shore Branch of the Green Party to promote discussion on the increasingly politicised issue of the connections between food and the environment.

Everybody who is interested is invited to the Bruce Mason Centre, Takapuna, at 7pm, Friday 16th May. Tickets are $20 and are available at the door.
