Victim Support appoints new Chief Executive
Tony Paine, CEO of the Arts Centre in Christchurch for the past 10 years, is to move to Wellington to take up the position of Chief Executive of Victim Support.
The Chairperson of New Zealand Council of Victim Support Groups, Lorraine Scanlon, announced today that Tony Paine would take up his new appointment on 8 September 2008.
Mr Paine holds a Masters of Management Studies with first class honours from Waikato University, has worked in community mental health as CEO of Comcare Charitable Trust, with social services at Christchurch Methodist Mission and NZ Aids Foundation, and is on the Board of Housing New Zealand Corporation. Welcoming his appointment, Lorraine Scanlon said Mr Paine’s experience would ensure that Victim Support continued to provide the best possible service to victims throughout New Zealand.
