Aspiring Politicians to Front to the Public

Aspiring Politicians to Front to the Public at Student Flat

Tuesday, 5 August 2008, 2:24 pm

Press Release: Joel Cosgrove

Preparations are underway for the upcoming Wellington Central candidates forum at 176 Aro St this coming Saturday.

"We've got something approaching 100 people on Facebook. As well as a whole bunch of people who've responded to an emai going about it." Says Cosgrove.

"The only thing I'm worried about is the weather, I've got a tarpaulin, but that won't hold the same number of people as my backyard. If it is a bit wet and has to be held inside then I hope not many people are put off by it, but I can't really control the weather." Feels Cosgrove.

"This is something that the community can be involved in. I think someone's even bringing a BBQ!" said Cosgrove.

"I've had feelers from both the Libertarianz and United Future about coming, so they can join The Workers Party, Labour, National, Greens and ACT. It's looking to be a cracker." States Cosgrove.

"This is the first event of it's kind in the country as far as I'm aware and it should go off with a bang!"

The forum is to be held on:

Saturday, August 9th.

1-4pm

176 Aro St

ENDS.
