Lawyers Split Over Bain Compensation Issue
LawFuel - The Law Jobs and Legal NewsWire
Lawyers appear to be almost evenly split over whether David Bain should receive compensation, according to an online poll conducted by legal news and legal jobs site LawFuel.co.nz.
The poll, which simply asked whether David Bain should receive compensation following last month's acquittal on multiple homicide charges, found 48% of respondents saying that he should receive compensation and 40% saying he should not. Twelve per cent were unsure.
Bain's legal team are now considering the compensation issue and are likely to be making a claim to government.
