Grey Power Media Release
Grey Power Media Release
Grey Power
Federation welcomes the release of the Law Commissions
report "Alcohol in our Lives: Curbing the Harm". It is to
be hoped that both the Government and all Members of the
Parliament will give the recommendations in this report
serious consideration and adopt them into our statutes at an
early date. The country's alcohol problem needs to be
addressed urgently. Our Police Force is overloaded by
dealing with crimes and vandalism committed by those under
the influence of Alcohol while the Health Services
experience a huge increase in their workload due to alcohol
related problems. Grey Power is looking forward to the
many positive recommendations contained in this Report being
adopted into the statutes the near future.
