Business Looks Forward to Working with Wellington’s New Mayor
The Wellington Employers’ Chamber of Commerce congratulates Celia Wade-Brown on her election victory and looks forward to working with her over the next three years.
“The Chamber has developed a good relationship with Celia and is keen to build on that over her term as Mayor,” said Chamber President Richard Stone.
“Celia shares our vision of a vibrant business community and we look forward to supporting policies which enhance Wellington as a good city to do business in.
“We would also like to congratulate all the other successful candidates in both the regional and city councils.
“The key to Wellington’s prosperity lies in the strength of its business sector and both councils are well aware of that.
“Finally, we would like to offer our condolences to the outgoing Mayor. Kerry Prendergast has made a wonderful contribution to the city, in particular over the last nine years as Mayor, and we wish her well for the future,” Mr Stone concluded.
