“The Governor-General, Rt Hon Sir Anand Satyanand, and Lady Susan Satyanand, today met Sir John Anderson, Chairman of Television New Zealand Ltd, and Mr Rick Ellis, TVNZ Chief Executive, at Government House in Auckland. At that meeting, the Governor-General accepted the written apology tendered by Sir John and Mr Ellis for the comments made on TVNZ’s Breakfast programme on 4 October 2010. With receipt of the apology, the Governor-General now considers the matter closed and he will not be commenting further.”
