Council has returned John Cronin as Chairman
At the first council meeting today in Whakatāne councillors re-elected Mr Cronin. Philip Sherry was re-elected as Deputy Chairman.
The Regional Council has three new councillors – Douglas Owens and Paula Thompson representing Tauranga, and Lyall Thurston representing Rotorua. Ten other councillors were returned for another term in local government elections earlier this month.
