IAG welcomes Government announcement on ACC
IAG welcomes the Government’s decision in principle to introduce choice into workplace insurance.
Chief Executive Jacki Johnson says it’s a positive step forward in the management of accident insurance in this country.
“Managing risk and helping people recover after loss or personal injury is our business and we believe the insurance industry can play a valuable role in the management of personal injuries in the workplace.
“The decision to open up the work account to competition will provide employers with choice, which is something we wholeheartedly support,” she says.
While it’s early days, Johnson says she is confident the move will be viewed positively by the industry.
“We look forward to further developments and will watch how this unfolds with interest.”
