Opposition Against NZ Government’s Separatist Policies

Further Opposition Against NZ Government’s Separatist Policies

Opposition is mounting against the government’s stance of pushing its separatist policies, more recently in regards to the Maori Party and the Foreshore and Seabed Law, but overall as a country in general.

The Foreshore and Seabed debate - known more formally as the Marine and Coastal Areas Bill – is an example of separatism in New Zealand. After many years of debating, the bill passed its second reading in Parliament last night with a vote of 62-56 in favour of the bill.

In regards to that, Bill Nairn wrote to the Dominion Post last year, saying: “Since the current Government was elected... race relations have gone backward... National has given in to the racist demands of the Maori Party...”.

“Kiwis United” (www.kiwisunited.com), is a new website that has been officially launched today, and it has been designed to give Kiwis a united voice in opposing the divisive bills that the Government is trying to put forward.

Kevin Dittmer, the driving force behind this movement, says he is infuriated that the current government is being “Absolutely gutless, and are being milked by the Maori Party to the detriment of New Zealand as a whole...”.

Dittmer has also said that no-one is going to benefit from this bill if it makes it through Parliament, saying “These issues have nothing to do with the Maori people as a whole... will they benefit from this? No. Will Kiwis benefit from this? No. The only people who will benefit are those who are at the top of the Maori corporate ladders, the tribal elitists. And to top it all off, the Government is trying to push this bill through Parliament when all eyes are focused on the Christchurch tragedy, possibly in an attempt to get it through while no-one is looking.”

Dittmer encourages any Kiwis of the same opinion to visit this new website, and have their say.
