The level of public interest in the Trans-Pacific Partnership reflects the significance of the negotiation as a trade and foreign policy intiative.
Trade Minister Tim Groser offered a strategic perspective on the initiative in a speech to the US-NZ Partnership Forum in Christchuch on 21 February, characterising the negotiations as working toward "a 21st Century trade agreement".
