ALCP sky-rocket in latest political poll
ALCP has increased its position in the polls by 800% in one week.
The leader of the Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party, Wellington Barrister Michael Appleby, was thrilled to see the party race up in the latest NZ Herald poll.
"The ALCP were only polling 0.1% in the first week of the campaign but went to 0.8% in the second week," he said.
"If this rate of growth continutes ALCP will be able to reach the 5% threshold and enter parliament."
Mr Appleby said the ALCP was polling above the Mana, Maori and United Future parties and were close to catching the wealthy Conservative party.
"Due to a margin or error of 3.6%, the level of support for the ALCP could already be 4.4% and growing," Mr Appleby concluded.
