Press Release from Ms Donna Hall
Press Release from Ms Donna Hall, solicitor for New
Zealand Maori Council
The solicitor for the New Zealand Maori Council, Ms Donna Hall, welcomes the interim recommendation of the Waitangi Tribunal.
“This recommendation allows for all parties to take a deep breath and consider its ramifications. It will be most helpful if a constructive dialogue can be entered into between the Crown and the New Zealand Maori Council and its co-claimants, in the first instance” said Ms Hall.
“The public debate in the last few months has had many misconceptions and polarising statements. The claimants are really wanting to seek a solution to this matter and would value discussion” said Ms Hall.
