Walk the Talk - Opposing violence against women
Walk the Talk
Soroptimist International of Auckland have organised a walk on 22 November from Silo Park at the Wynyard Quarter through the Viaduct and back to Silo Park, to show their opposition to violence against women. This event hopes to raise awareness for the United Nations ‘16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence’. The walk begins at 10.30am and they ask people who wish to join them to assemble at Silo Park (look for the orange t-shirts).
Soroptimist International of Auckland is part of a worldwide service organisation for women. They are committed to a world where women and girls together achieve their individual and collective potential, realise aspirations and have an equal voice in creating strong, peaceful communities worldwide.
